Fuck Yeah Embroidery

My own crafting escapades have been falling by the wayside recently, and I’m sure many of you out there will have felt the same way at some point or another, and all you needed was a little inspiration to spur you on.

I was looking through old posts on the mypapercrane blog. She had written a post about a crafternoon party (it’s this post here, mentions it’s January’s party, so it must be monthly), and holy cats - I’m so jealous. I don’t have many crafty friends, my family is pretty crafty, but we don’t all get the same time to spend together, and sometimes you just need to find other circles to socialise in, y’know? But I was thinking: ‘Wouldn’t it be so cool to put aside some time each month to chat with like-minded people, learn new crafts, and share great food?’
I live in Lancashire, in the Wyre Borough. And truth be told I don’t get out much, haha (aside from for work). So I would love to know if there are any crafters in my area. OR even if anyone from anywhere would want to get in touch to talk about recent projects with, or blog posts, or even tv shows, and probably cats.
Also! If you’re thinking the same thing I am about having a crafternoon party, but you live somewhere else entirely, feel free to send me a message, and I’ll put out a ‘call for arms’ for you to find others in your area (provided I have followers where you are) so you can have big crafty parties!
I’d also love to know if there is actually already a website where you can find craft circles in your area. So please message me!
